Andrea Carey Fuller has been selected as the Green Party Candidate for Lewisham Deptford in the upcoming General Election.
Andrea lives in Lewisham, and in 2015 helped set up the Deptford Neighbourhood Forum. The forum enables the local community to have more of a say on planning decisions in Deptford.
Andrea is proud to represent the Green Party in this election and to stand up for all communities across the Lewisham Deptford Constituency:
“As a Green MP I’ll be your voice in Westminster - saying yes to a People’s vote on Europe and no to climate chaos. Westminster Politicians across the political spectrum have failed us all on Brexit. What we need is a People’s Vote on the final deal now.”
She added “I will stand up for the rights of our young people: Their right to better education; clean air; decent homes; access to community youth projects and services; and to apprenticeships and local job opportunities.
“I’ll also continue to fight for our green spaces and challenge further destruction of trees and nature areas which has already happened too much in Deptford.”
“Like so many people, I’m terrified of what we’re doing to our planet. But us Greens have a serious plan. We need a Green New Deal to address climate breakdown, prioritise renewables, end airport expansion and deliver a better quality of life. Our planet needs people in power who recognise that we’re living in a climate emergency and are dedicated to taking real action, not just saying the right words.”
The Green Party currently have one MP in Westminster, Caroline Lucas who represents Brighton Pavilion.
